ABC: View bug fix for ABBrowse template (C4) 1998-10-21 -- Jim G Newsgroups: comp.lang.clarion
I reported this problem to Topspeed a couple of months ago. To my knowledge,
no one took any action. Finally, I couldn't wait any longer for a fix. I HAD
to get this app to a customer. Hope someone else may benefit from this.
!Invalid assumption being made that a valid position for the view
!has been RESET to. If this is false, the next FETCH will force an
!Event:Closewindow to be issued, thus exiting the window for no
!valid reason. The following code will remedy the problem.
!Insert at Line 992 in "ABBrowse.clw"
NEXT(SELF.View) !check for fatal errors
IF ~ERRORCODE() !if none, then use current position
RESET(SELF.View,POSITION(SELF.View))
ELSE
SET(SELF.View)
END
