ABC: Speeding up ABC applications 1999-02-15 -- Vince Sorensen Newsgroups: comp.lang.clarion
Well, now the ABC app is smaller and faster than the legacy one.
For anyone who wants to know the solution, I moved all the files in my
LIBSRC that I didn't believe were needed to a backup directory (full
list below).
I exited C5, restarted it, recompiled, and voila, a 2 seconds browse
startup.
One of these pieces of source code must royally foul up the ABC source
reader, since none of them should even have been compiled in!
Anyways, it's great to have reasonable performance levels back.
