Par2: MySQL Connection string
2004-01-26 -- Timo Multanen

Just add the name of the MySQL table to the Full Pathname in Clarion dictionary. Owner value in the Clarion dictionary should be Server=host;Database=database_name;Uid=root;Pwd=root_password; Alternatively, try setting up a DSN-less connection to MyODBC. First define your MySQL table in the data dictionary by using Import table -feature. Change the Owner attribute of the table to !GLO:MyODBCConnectString . Be sure to have the MySQL table name in the Full Pathname of the dictionary table. In your application add a new global variable GLO:MyODBCConnectString CSTRING(260) and assign a suitable value to that variable. For example, try value Driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};Server=host;Database=database_name;Uid=root;Pwd=root_password; . Change the host, database_name, root, and root_password to match your settings.
