Par2: Converting Windows 8-byte date-time 2003-06-26 -- Ole-Morton Heien Hi. I beleive the DateTime format your refering to is the standard
microsoft(?) date time field. The easyest way is to use a String(8) to hold
the Windows Date time. Remember, a string is just series of bytes and can
therfore bee treated as a very 'long' LONG. I beleive an 8 byted number is
the same as WORD.
Anyway, Allso add a group and name it anything you like (i.e.
ClarionDateTime). This group should have TWO LONG fields. One for Date and
One for Time. The trick is to set the OVER atribute to the WindowDateTime
string.
DATA
WindowDateTime String(8)
ClarionDateTime Group,over(WindowDateTime)
Date Long
Time Long
End!Group
Now you can refere to the date and time the way your are used to
If Date > Today().......
If Time > Clock().......
