FileString is a dynamic string variable that is used by the ReadFileToString, WriteStringToFile and FileToString methods.  It is used to dynamically create a buffer to contain the entire contents of a file when it's read or before it is written.  This makes it extremely fast to read or write big chunks of text from or to a file.
