IF you only have entry fields on the window this can be done with:

If Loc:ViewOnly
   Loop X# = FirstField() To LastField()
     Case X# {Prop:Type}
       Of Create:Button
       Else
         X# {Prop:ReadOnly} = True
         X# {Prop:Skip} = True
       End
     End
   End
End

This will make all controls except buttons read-only.  IF you have checkboxes these 
are more tricky.  I think there are some articles on that problem in the Icetips/Topspeed
