You need to start a new Clarion application. The dictionary design is complete and now it's time to get down to business and create the application. You keep thinking about all those buttons that you need to change the icons on... There has got to be a better way! Indeed there is, the Icetips Standard Wizards are here to help you.

Compatible with Clarion 5.5 (can be used in Clarion 4 and Clarion 5 too) the Wizards create ABC applications or procedures. They are not compatible with the Clarion template chain. A Clarion 6 compatible version will be released in September 2007.

Like the Professional Wizards and the Reporter, the Standard Wizards can create individual procedures, or a whole application, based on a dictionary that you select.

The Standard Wizards are much simpler than the Professional Wizards and can only set about half the properties that the Professional Wizards can set. The Standard Wizards are not capable of adding extension templates to your application or procedures like the Professional Wizards can do. They can dramatically improve your productivity in Clarion by cutting down on the time you spend working on modifying windows after you have created them.

The Standard Wizards can help you get your window design work done fast and easy. They help you get your projects done faster than ever before and increase your productivity and income. Make your applications look the way you and your customers want it to look when you create it, instead of spending weeks on changing the default look.
The Standard Wizards consist of three main components, which all interact with each other.

1. Theme Editor, which you use to create the Themes which contains all the visual settings. The Theme Editor has a convenient Pick List so you can quickly select what Theme files you want to edit

2. Theme Files, which store properties of various Window and Report components that you can set, such as buttons, prompts, fields. The Theme files are used by the Wizard Templates to set these properties in the generated procedures or application. You can create as many theme files as you want, even copy them and rename them if you like.

3. Wizard Templates which are a set of utility templates where you can set certain properties of the procedures you are going to create, for example what file to browse or update for the Browse and Form wizards.
