You need to start a new Clarion application. The dictionary design is complete and now it's time to get down to business and create the application. You keep thinking about all those buttons that you need to change the icons on, all the templates you need to add, all the listboxes you need to format... There has got to be a better way! Indeed there is, the Icetips Professional Wizards are here to help you.

Compatible with Clarion 5.5 and Clarion 6/6.1/6.2/6.3 (can be used in Clarion 4 and Clarion 5 too) the Wizards create ABC applications or procedures. They are not compatible with the Clarion template chain.

We have three Clarion Wizards and the Icetips Professional Wizards are the flagship of our application and procedure Wizards. Like the Standard Wizards and the Reporter, the Professional Wizards can create individual procedures, or a whole application, based on a dictionary that you select.

They can dramatically improve your productivity in Clarion by cutting down on the time you spend working on modifying windows after you have created them. They can also apply extension templates automatically to your procedures as they are generated and thereby reduce your work even further!

The Professional Wizards can help you get your window design work done faster than any other product on the market. That means that you can deliver your projects faster than ever before and increase your productivity and income. Make your applications look the way you and your customers want it to look when you create it, instead of spending weeks on changing the default look.
The Professional Wizards consist of four main components, which all interact with each other.

  1. Theme Editor, which you use to create the Themes which contains all the visual settings. The Theme Editor also includes a Template Registry and a Template Set editor which is where you set up what Extension templates to add to what procedures.

  2. Theme Files, which store properties of various Window and Report components that you can set, such as buttons, prompts, fields. The Theme files are used by the Wizard Templates to set these properties in the generated procedures or application. You can create as many theme files as you want, even copy them and rename them if you like.

  3. Wizard Templates which are a set of utility templates where you can set certain properties of the procedures you are going to create, for example what file to browse or update for the Browse and Form wizards.

  4. Runtime Wizard, which is called from the Wizard Templates. The Runtime Wizard enables you to select one of the Template sets that you have created to apply extension templates to your procedures or global area.
You can control close to 200 settings with the Professional Wizards, not counting any settings that you can set using Extension templates. These settings apply to various sections of your application, including Global options for the application, Frame, Browse, Form and Reports for respective procedure types.
