Multi-Browse Windows

Active Invisible option makes complex windows with many browses load much faster.

Browse Refresh

WindowComponent interface implemented, which means that the browse refreshes properly when it should without adding any embedded code.

Filters

Filters can be literal strings without the templates quoting the filter, which makes it very easy to construct filters from variables.

Reset Fields

Reset fields can be specified. The reset fields trigger a complete refresh of the browse if the value of the reset variable changes.

Record Priming

Records can be primed prior to calling the Prime method and also after calling the Prime method, which means priming can be pruned and groomed exactly to what you need.

Prime Settings

Priming includes setting a field to NULL, setting it to a variable or a < value or calling a function to assign it - all from template prompts.

Debugging

Built in method to call OutputDebugString to set up simple and easy debugging in the classes and in your procedures that use the SQL templates.

SQL Compatibility

The SQL browse templates are compatible with most SQL dialects. They are in use with various backend databases including SQL Server (MS-SQL), Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL and more. You can also use the SQL Templates with any database that supports ODBC.

Clarion Compatibility

You can use the Icetips SQL Browse Templates with Clarion 5.5-8 in the ABC template chain. The control template can be used on any Window procedure to create an SQL browse.

There are control templates for browses, update buttons, locators, and select button. There are also many extention templates. Please refer to the SQL Template Documentation (below) for more information.
